BEACON project’s 1st steering committee meeting was held on 30th June 2021 via Microsoft teams. The meeting was attended by all the BEACON project consortium member institutions.
The University of Huddersfield as the output lead presented the preliminary findings of Output 1; climate change impacts on the coastal built environment. The key themes derived from the global level review were presented and taken into the discussion by the project partners. Together with the findings of Output 1, the plan for the Output 2 and 3 was discussed and agreed upon by the partners. Then the quality board meeting was also held after the technical discussions. The University of Moratuwa as the Quality Lead presented the quality plan and it was approved at the meeting. The steering committee meeting was successfully concluded with an overall project work plan till interim report submission, finalised quality plan, Dissemination plan and plan for future meetings and events.
