The first newsletter of the BEACON project was published. The newsletter demonstrated the project background, project aims and objectives and explained the project process in detail. Furthermore, the newsletter included a write-up on the “Need of identifying climate change impacts in the built environment in coastal regions.”
A project poster was presented at the 5th Global Summit of GADRI: Engaging Sciences with Action Abstract submitted for the E-Poster session on “Climate change impacts on the coastal built environment”.
The findings of Intellectual Output 1 was presented at the 2nd International Symposium on Disaster Resilience & Sustainable Development. The presentation was done on the topic of “A review of climate change impacts on the coastal built environment”.
BEACON project’s 1st steering committee meeting was held on 30th June 2021 via Microsoft teams. BEACON Project Kick-Off Meeting was held on 3rd December 2020, as a Virtual Meeting (via Microsoft Teams). The meeting brought together the multidisciplinary experts representing six partner organisations. The discussions were focused on a three-year work plan covering project administration, quality assurance and dissemination.
